Right now there is no easy way to connect the 0.7 mile section of missing trail beyond McAllister Church Road and the 1 mile section that ends at Allen Road and connects to the West End Trail and Carlisle Borough. CVRTC does not own this section of the original railbed. Please do not trespass on the property. The best way to connect is a 4 mile public low traffic road detour from the Allen Road Trailhead to Greason Road. In order to further connect to the main Cumberland Valley Rail Trail, you would need to take a second road detour from Springview Road to Greenhill Road found here. This is an unofficial route with no markings and you are responsible to follow all traffic laws. When you go off the Trail, you agree that Cumberland Valley Rail Trail Council, Inc., shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages of any kind arising out of traveling on a public road. We feel this is the safest way to connect the two sections.
